Von 1956 bis 1959 wurden  251 Exemplare  produziert.

BMW stellt den Typ 507 auf der IAA 1955 vor. Mit einem Preis von fast 30. 000 DM war der Wagen fast so teuer, wie ein Mercedes 300 SL, der ab 1957 nur noch als Roadster angeboten wurde. Damit war er nur für äußerst betuchte Kunden erschwinglich, was auch zu einer äußerst geringen Produktionszahl von nur 251 Fahrzeugen führte. Der Entwurf der Karosserie stammte vom Industriedesigner Albrecht Graf Goertz. Die Karosserie wurde aus Aluminium gefertigt. Heute gilt der 507 als Designikone und ist ein sehr gesuchtes Sammlerobjekt.

Dieser 507 wurde im Juli 1959 produziert und ist damit eines von den 5 zuletzt gebauten Exemplaren. Als eines der letzten produzierten 507 erhielt der Wagen ab Werk Scheibenbremsen an der Vorderachse und Rudge-Verschlüsse. Der 507 wurde in dieser Farbkombination ( Federweiss mit Leder schwarz) nach München ausgeliefert und präsentiert sich heute noch mit seinem Original Motor (Matching numbers and Colours!) - sehr selten beim BMW 507.

1998 wurde dieser BMW 507 bei einem namhaften Marken Spezialisten restauriert. Rechnungen und Dokumentation liegt vor.

Description:

BMW presents the Type 507 at the IAA 1955. With a price of almost DM 30, 000, the car was almost as expensive as a Mercedes 300 SL, which was only offered as a roadster from 1957. This meant that it was only affordable for extremely well-heeled customers, which also led to an extremely low production figure of only 251 vehicles. The design of the body came from the industrial designer Albrecht Graf Goertz. The body was made of aluminium. Today, the 507 is considered a design icon and is a highly sought-after collector's item.

This 507 was produced in July 1959 and is one of the last 5 examples built. As one of the last 507s produced, it was fitted with disc brakes on the front axle and Rudge-Wheels. It was delivered new to Munich/ Germany in this colour combination and still presents itself today with its original engine and gearbox, (Matching numbers and Colours!) very rare for a BMW 507.

In 1998 this BMW 507 was restored by a well-known specialist. Invoices and documentation are available.
