Classic Car Design offers you this friendly Triumph TR3. Of American origin, it has been in France and in the hands of its current owner for over 15 years.
On the outside, the bodywork is in good condition and has been repainted in the past. Even if the 'English green' paint is shiny, a polish would restore it to its former glory! One original feature is the brand new Minilite wheels. They give the car a sportier look and make a welcome change from the usual spoked wheels! The chrome is in good condition, and the car is fitted with attractive obus mirrors and a luggage rack on the rear boot. The car is complete with a soft top and side-screens, but these items are in need of repair or restoration.
Inside, the black upholstery with white piping is in good condition, with a mixture of components that have been redone and others that are more worn, giving this car a nice patina. All the instrumentation is functional, with a small additional clock.
Mechanically, the car runs well. The big 4-cylinder emits its typical growl under acceleration. The gearbox ratios shift very well. The suspension does its job. The front brake discs are as good as new. The chassis is solid, with a few minor traces of rubbing or surface corrosion. On the floor, the driver's side could do with a little attention.
This untouched example is the archetypal British roadster that you can use without a second thought, without fear of the 'aggressions' of the road. Reliable and easy to maintain, the TR3 is the ideal way to start your collection. And make no mistake, behind its 'charming and old-fashioned' lines, there's 100bhp waiting to be whipped!
