In 1954, Citroën launched an adventurer version of the 2CV, intended for tough roads in overseas countries: the AZ PO. Furthermore, it had special equipment such as the tubular front bumper with welded bananas and a protective shoe similar to the one on the Sahara, better protected front and rear axles, an anti-dust oil-bath air filter, a reinforced wiring harness and a stronger van chassis.
This example was first registered on 4th April 1960 and was then registered in February 1964 in Haute-Vienne before joining the collection of its current owner in 2000. Our collector then undertook a complete restoration from the chassis while preserving its configuration with this Monaco blue, matching new hood and upholstery. The restoration was carefully carried out, all fittings have been carefully redone which gave this 2CV from overseas its gorgeous appearance. With a mileage of 12, 395 km, this AZ PO is ready for the road, even for the toughest ones thanks to its specific equipment!
This extremely rare 2CV AZ PO example has benefited from a recent restoration while retaining its specific equipment and it will undoubtedly find a good place in the most selective collections.
