This is a 2006 BMW Z4M Roadster (E85) finished in Black Sapphire Metallic with a black leather interior. The car has covered 52, 000 miles from new, has been fully serviced this year and represents huge amounts of driving fun at this price point.
Unveiled at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show in coupé form and later released in Roadster form (as seen here) in 2006, the Z4 M features a 3. 2-litre, S54 inline-six engine, driving the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Good for a 0-60 dash in 5 seconds for the coupé and 4. 7 seconds in the roadster, both versions were electronically limited to 155 mph.
Numerous parts from the coveted E46 M3 were used in the Z4, most notably the iconic S54 engine with fly-by-wire throttle and VANOS, the limited-slip differential from the M3, rear subframe, front suspension control arms and several aspects of the braking system, which are also sourced from the E46 M3 CSL.
In production between April 2006 and 2008, a total of 4, 275 coupés and 5, 070 roadsters were produced by BMW.
