Description
My Porsche 996 c4s.
Only selling due to lack of use (i have other vehicles), but i do take it for a good spin a couple of times a week.
I have only covered about 3000 miles in my ownership (18 months) and it, s a waste. It needs to be used and enjoyed far more.
While searching for a 996 i drove other 996, s some with far less mileage, but this one drove the best.
It drives absolutely perfectly, no knocks, no crunchy gearbox, no rattles, no smoke, no warning lights.
The car is advertised at a bargain price.
This is my own private car registered in my name and home address, hence a private sale.
The car is in beautiful condition except for one fault i will mention below (last picture).
A very late car registered on the 09/ 12/ 2004.
Arctic silver with metropole blue interior.
Two keys.
Bridgestone Potenza, s all round.
Current MOT is until the 22/ 12/ 23, but can be sold with a new MOT.
HPI clear.
The IMS bearing was changed for the upgraded EPS bearing 5/ 1/ 21 @ 126, 141 miles along with the RMS rear main seal.
New clutch 10/ 11/ 20 @ 117, 074 miles.
I have changed various suspension parts which i have listed below. 996, s have common issues with suspension knocks/ rattles (which mine had), but now they are fixed and the steering feel is now far better and responsive. I previously thought the steering felt good, but only after the repairs did i realise how good it really could be.
Work i have carried out in the last two months and i do have all the part receipts for the following work,
Power steering rack hard pipes. Power steering fluid complete flush.
New front lower wishbones, track control arms (coffin arms) and drop links, all suspension parts are Meyle.
All front bellows (gaiters) to both driveshafts.
Oil change Mobil 1.
Mahle oil filter and air filter.
New air conditioning condensors , Porsche supplied "O" rings, air con receiver, re-gas. Air con works great now and is ice cold.
Above parts cost was £695 + £80 for the air con re-gas. Not sure how much a specialist would have charged for the above work, but i imagine a fair bit.
New Bosch wipers.
New drivers side door lock actuator.
Exhaust flexi joint replaced (by exhaust specialist).
New petrol cap.
New original car mats from Porsche.
Many service receipts from Porsche specialists. Check out the service breakdowns, these are thorough and far beyond your usual "oil and filter change" service.
5/ 1/ 21 @ 126, 141 miles,
Crank seal (again).
IMS bearing EPS upgrade.

Pollen filter.
Air filter..
