The composite body panels are outstanding and protected by a bespoke Venture Shield wrap which can easily be removed should you choose to do so. This 340R has never been on track, it?s evident to see when looking at the show standard bodywork.

F1-style winglets, aerodynamically-shaped rear wing fitted for highspeed stability and downforce, wide side air ducts for improved engine bay cooling, Safety Devices speedster bar providing protection and extra stiffness, and Aprilia made wingmirrors. High performance headlamps, pre-focus Wipac dip modular units with main beam in the lower spoiler, and a high level brake light to the rear... Stunning from every angle.

Wheels, Tyres & Brakes

Wheels - Stunning, original and never refurbished 10-spoke Tecnomagnesio 4-bolt light alloy wheels specially designed for Lotus, Front 6 x 15J, rear 8 x 16J. The excellent unique tyres are original specification all matching super sticky Yokohama A038R, 195/ 50 ZR 15 on the front and 255/ 45 ZR 16 on the rear.

Suspension - Independent upper and lower wishbones, co-axial Eibach springs and adjustable platform KONI racing dampers.

Brakes - 282mm diameter cast iron ventilated cross-drilled discs, racing hoses, Pagid brake pads, racing brake fluid and AP Racing opposed piston calipers, all as standard.

Steering - Titan motorsport rack & pinion.

Engine & Transmission

Fitted with the 1. 8 K-series 4 cylinder in-line engine, mid-mounted water cooled with Lotus developed engine management system. Double overhead camshafts with mechanical tappets and electronic multi-point fuel injection.

On the road the engine barks with every shift of the close-ratio gearbox. Performance is breathtaking, 0-60 in sub 4. 3 seconds, throttle response is instantaneous, and road holding phenomenal.

The magical sound is provided by the Lotus styled, Janspeed developed exhaust with ceramic coated tubular manifold, rear silencer dressed with a needlemat/ carbon cover.

Registered new to Lotus Cars, Potash Lane, Hethel, Norwich on 6th April 2000 and supplied to its only private owner by Lotus authorised dealer Paul Smith Sports Cars Limited, Station Road, Derby, Derbyshire on 21st June 2002.

This 340R has been kept as part of a private car collection and has never been on sale before. The car has been stored continually in a Carcoon and has not been used since 2012. A full recommission and C service has just been completed including timing belt, new battery etc at a cost of £1639 by noted Lotus specialists Unit 4, Burton on Trent, Staffordshire.

The history file contains the Lotus document wallet, Lotus drivers handbook, maintenance record, dealer directory, every MOT certificate including the first dated 12th May 2003 documenting 5431 miles, old tax discs and many invoices and receipts for servicing and maintenance back to new.

This is a very rare and unique opportunity to own a piece of Lotus's motoring history. A production run of only 340 cars with 171 cars delivered to the UK, 11 to the US and the rest going to Europe and Japan. This is one of the 171 UK cars.

This 340R is of course HPi clear with certificate included.
