We are delighted to have collected this outstanding, very correct Austin A40 Farina MKII Saloon from one of our long term customers in Essex. ABE 428B is a beautiful car, it is a RHD Home Market example that was built on the 10th February 1964, leaving the factory in Glen Green and Snowberry White with Satin Beige interior as it present today. Several years ago the Austin was been subject of lovely restoration and we can confirm the bodywork is excellent throughout, particularly the underside. Paintwork is of a beautiful standard, as is the brightwork, under bonnet and interior.
On the road the Austin A40 runs beautifully with a super fit 1098cc engine, the four speed gearbox is lovely and smooth and it is a delight on the road. Over the past five/ six years the Austin has covered around 6000 miles and it does not look out of place on the show circuit. The Farina features an unleaded converted cylinder head, stainless steel exhaust system and its arrived with us absolutely on the button and ready to enjoy. Over the years we've only had a couple of A40's in this condition, they do not come to market often at such a high standard and there's no doubt the cost to restore one to this level would cost a huge amount more than its value. This is a great opportunity to purchase a stunning, correct A40 MKII that is a fabulous collectors piece.
