1984 Porsche 924 2. 0 Manual
First registered 16/ 10/ 1984 by OPC Swinford motors, Stourbridge.
Cool 924 in classic Guards red (LM3A) with black Porsche script interior. This is a solid 924 that?s been well looked after and is solid underneath and in all the usual areas prone to corrosion.
All cills, inner and outer wings, boot sections, lower doors etc are all good and this is not your usual neglected 924 that needs tons of welding and new metal. Its had fresh paint at some point although there are some micro blisters showing on the bonnet and roof sections, everywhere else is a decent.
Mechanically sound, just serviced and evidence of the belts also done recently inc alternator belt. Engine bay is exceptionally clean with evidence of ongoing service work. It drives really well with good pace and all gears shift nice and precisely. New Continental contact 185/ 70/ 14 tyres all round and silver alloys are all in really nice condition.
Interior is decent enough too. Optioned sports seats Porsche script fabric has faded and a couple of rips on the bolsters but overall all seats are good. The usual cracked dash. Electric tilt sunroof all works as do electric mirrors, boot latch etc. Door cards and trims are all good too. Its missing its radio cassette.
A great entry level classic that?s a fun drive and easy to own. There is always ongoing maintenance with a car of this age but for the most part this is a get in and go example that can be an enjoyable ongoing project.
Last MOT advisories being near side and offside rear wheel bearings have slight play and nearside steering rack has slight play on the inner joint and will need some attention at some point.
