We are very pleased to offer a very special and rare limited edition Rover Mini Cooper S Touring. A handful of these editions were produced by John Cooper Garages. Each example has a plaque and are numbered, ours is 99-S-157. The S Touring was designed to boost power to nearly 90 BHP and improve long distance touring with a final drive of 2:7 which resulted with a Cooper with plenty of power and capability. The engines were upgraded with high lift rockers, larger inlet valves and high compression cylinder heads, they also benefitted from a three branch manifold and side exit uprated exhausts so they have a burble to match the performance. This example is not only very rare but it is also has a fantastic specification, finished in metallic Knightfire red with contrasting Stone beige leather giving this S touring a real luxury feel. It has only covered a super low 27 thousand miles in 23 years with just two previous owners. It is accompanied with a service history folder including previous MOT certificates. These are very special examples that are seldom seen for sale. This example still has its original John Cooper garages dealer sticker and number plates.

On the road this Cooper Touring drives very well, these are very well set up machines as they offer a useful power upgrade over standard and smooth power delivery. The engine is super smooth and responsive and as you would expect from such a low mileage example. These Coopers really come into there own on the open road, the power is very progressive and these cars like to rev right through through the range. The twin pipe sports exhaust adds to the experience. The Taller gearing Touring element means it really cruises with ease over long distances. This is also a Multi point fuel injected or MPi as they are known as, which means all you need to do to get on the open road is simply turn the key and go. Further features include a drivers airbag, side impact beams and a factory fitted alarm and immobiliser. they offer all the charm of the classic Mini with everyday practicality.

This Touring has a stunning interior with virtually unmarked stone beige leather seats with matching door cards, walnut door caps, John Cooper alloy door trim with matching sill trims. Full length walnut dash with six magnolia dials. John Cooper over matts and a period Phillips cassette player. This model also features rear seat belts.

This Mini has a very solid shell with the correct vented sills, untouched gleaming floor pans and boot floor. The subframes are also solid. This Touring has been well cared for. The paintwork is very well presented and gleams especially in the sun, the colour combination really gives this Mini an awesome presence and it gets lots of attention. This is not a restored example but it has been well maintained and cared for and wears its vintage well. We have fully serviced and checked this Mini and it will be supplied with a long no advisory MOT so it is ready to make you smile and give you access to a very exclusive Mini Cooper club.
