This Ami 6 saloon car was registered on the 19th December 1962 and corresponds to the 1963 model year. It therefore has a few modifications compared to the first model: sliding rear windows, boot push button, lower reflectors removed. It joined the well-known collection of Richard Romagny in 2014 and is today in the hands of Artcurial SAS. Its bodywork (in very healthy condition) was repainted and substructures have been protected. The red cloth upholstery has been restored while the original door panels have been preserved.
Bodywork gaskets have been changed and the car is complete with its strips and exterior accessories. Known as the most sought-after ones, this Ami 6 relates to the first versions and its seamless original condition will only appeal to connoisseurs. The road test we carried out gave us full satisfaction. The engine is well adjusted and purposeful; The handling is smooth, as it should be. The 6-volt battery was replaced and this interesting model includes its original user manual, jack, crank and wooden block; while its "secret bracelet" is still present. Driving this Ami 6 around Paris reminded us of the success of Flaminio Bertoni's design, which makes this automobile so unique.
