Here we have a stunning example of the iconic Citroen DS23 Pallas. The Pallas added a range of interior and exterior trim upgrades. Luxurious upholstery upgrades were matched with increased noise insulation. Exterior trim embellishments rounded out the Pallas range and made it the most powerful, comfortable, and elegant choice of DS models. The interior of this DS is a wonderful place to be and oozes class from every element. The comprehensive restoration of the interior has seen it gain a host of new parts including: new seats, carpets, steering wheel, rear headrests, all leather door cards and replacement leather door hangs. The mileage of just over 31, 000km indicated on the dial is believed to be original, but cannot be verified. The vinyl and dashboard are in excellent condition with no cracks or marks and all buttons and switches function as designed. The headliner is clean and smart and the carpets show little sign of wear. The exterior of the DS23 is in good condition overall and still looks as jaw dropping as it was back in 1973. The car underwent a respray in March 2021 giving it a wonderfully subtle yet elegant two tone look. As such the paintwork on the car is in good condition and all panels are dent and damage free. As with the interior the exterior has seen new elements added where needed including, new badges, side mirrors, trim chrome work all around and front inner wheel arch sections. The engine runs smoothly, matted to the 5 speed manual gearbox which delivers a nice amount of power over the lower DS models and will happily cruise at modern motorway speeds. The legendary suspension functions as designed with no worrying creaks or groans upon operation. The Citroën DS23 Pallas is everything you could want from one of the most iconic of all French classics. That potent mix of timeless styling and the upgraded level of performance and comfort of the Pallas model makes this DS feel like the full package. A height of sophistication and style upon its release, the DS23 Pallas has lost none of its impact over the decades.
