It is genuinely with a heavy heart, that I’m seeking a caring new home for ‘Kermit’. Affectionately nicknamed ‘Kermit’ by the Lotus engineers at Hethel, due to his striking and very RARE ‘Electric Green’ coachwork. ‘Kermit’ spent the first few years of his life with the Engineers at Hethel and played a crucial role in the development of the Lotus Elise. The ‘electric green’ coachwork was a development colour, and so never offered commercially, less than a handful were ever painted in this colour, which makes ‘Kermit’ quite special! Being a 111S it has the higher output, lighter 1. 8i VVC engine, with the added benefit of NO ABS / AIR CONDITIONING or ELECTRIC WINDOWS. I think this is the sweet spot in the S2 range, the perfect balance between power / lightness and rawness, just how an Elise should be! Over and above the standard specification, ‘Kermit’ has some nice and desirable upgrades, including a private ’S2 YEH’ number plate Larini Clubsport exhaust, which sounds fantastic, a hurricane induction kit, optional Probax seats individually trimmed in a unique black and red, upgraded later Exige LED tail lights, colour coded centre console, upgraded blue tooth stereo and speakers, upgraded later alcantrara door pulls, newer style raised ‘LOTUS’ lettering to the rear to name a few. Having been my own personal car for the last 2. 5 years, anyone who knows me will know just how much I adore this special little car. Washed after EVERY time it’s driven, a lot of time and effort has been lavished to ensure he is in tiptop condition. Regularly serviced, the service history is up to date, and benefits from having recently had four brand new matching tyres. ‘Kermit’ is stored inside when not in use, connected to a trickle charger so has enjoyed a cosseted life! Kermit always gets a lot of attention and positive comments, particularly for the striking colour! He has been featured is several motoring publications and youtube videos. Has to be without doubt, one of the best S2 Elise’s on the market! Will be very sorry to see him go, so looking for a caring new custodian. A very special little car indeed….!
