DESCRIPTION
Introduced in 1984, the Porsche 911 Carrera 3. 2 was the last incarnation of the 'pure' 911 and was a replacement for the SC model, made between 1978 and 1983. The engine capacity was increased to 3. 2-litres, Bosch fuel injection was fitted, and power was up to 231bhp.
EXTERNAL
The Porsche 911 3. 2 Carrera was introduced in 1984, replacing the long standing SC model. Engine power was raised to 231 BHP, providing increased performance and economy over the outgoing model. In 1985 the desirable M491 Supersport Equipment (SSE) option became available. A new car could be specified from the factory with full turbo bodywork, brakes, and suspension but without the turbo. This model was known as the Carrera Supersport, and just 226 RHD examples came to the UK, of these only 75 were specified in Targa form, making this a very rare, collectible air cooled 911. Finished in Porsch Grand Prix White the paintworks as it left the factory glossy and uniform with pin sharp panel gaps as Porsche intended. With aggressive wider wheel arches, rear whale tale spoiler, a black lip spoiler to the front and receiving a complete body restoration some 7 years to the tune of in excess of £60, 000 pounds this remains one of the very best out their today.
INTERNAL
Once inside the Porsche 911 Targa you step back into the eighties of originality, With dark blue smooth leather electric seats with dark blue stitching in spotless condition, Switch gear along with the binnacles all work as intended along with the original Blaupunkt stereo. The thick deep pile carpets remain original and in the very best of condition.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The flat six engine has been subject to a full specialist rebuild during the complete restoration and covered very little miles since, Idling lovely and being very responsive throughout the rev range bursting to let loose all of those 231 horses which are ready to canter you around to eye watering figures with acceleration to match. Mated to the flat six is a five speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels which also had a full refurbishment and shifts effortlessly and smoothly into gear.

Sat on 16 inch white alloy wheels with chrome inner rings shod with brand new Continental 205/ 55ZR16 tyres on all four corners, Factory fit 4-pot brake disc calipers with brake vacuum assistance ensuring your brought to a steady controlled stop.

First registered on the 28th June 1985 This example has had no expense spared on it, Having been subject to a full body and engine refurbishment some seven years ago no area has been left untouched, Originality has been maintained throughout with original Porsche sourced items from underside to the engine bay fitted, All suspension being replaced along with a new complete exhaust system(plus much more) the care and attention to detail is second to none, With reams of historic invoices from the engine and body rebuild along with old tax discs and previous mot certificates its heritage is unquestionable along with the sheer costings involved in making this one of the best examples out on the road today.
