Premier Vehicle Storage are pleased to offer for sale this rare Mk1 Triumph Stag manual overdrive.
Finished in one of the most desirable Stag colour combinations of signal red with black vinyl trim, this rare manual overdrive model has been subject to a lengthy restoration by an aerospace engineer. This car has had most of the body panels replaced with new, including front wings, inner and outer rear quarter panels, sills, doors, bonnet and boot lid.
The entire underneath was painted in Signal red and the floor pans have been recently painted with stone chip protection.
From what we gathered from the previous owner, all the mechanical parts including the engine have either been refurbished or replaced with new. The convertible roof is a brand new mk2 style made by Aldridge in 2022.

The Stag features standard black vinyl trim, electric windows and electronic ignition. It has brand new Rimmer Brothers stainless steel bumpers. It comes with the original hard top which is in very good condition with the desirable factory options of a heated rear screen and lever style opening rear windows, but being fussy, it does have a couple of small dings in the chrome mouldings.
True to a Mk1 Stag the car isn't showing twin body stripes and is void of the aluminium sill trims, although it is wearing later alloy wheels.

Having being restored in a garage for around 15 years, there is little in the way of history although some MOT's previous to the start of the restoration are present. The odometer shows just over 70, 000 miles and this is believed to be genuine.

The only downside of the restoration is the original trim has not be restored. It does have a new quality carpet set and new Aldridge door cards but some trim and the drivers seat could do with some attention, shown in the pictures. The vinyl trim pockets in the rear seating area could do with replacements. Beside these items, the car is very clean and straight, having had a high quality restoration, with the small amount of trim work finished it would surely be a show winner commanding a lot higher than the asking price.
