We are very pleased to offer a stunning and very rare late registered 2001 Y registration Rover Mini Cooper Sport. This is an April 2001 registered Mini making it one of the very last and one of a handful of Y plate registration Minis that is also a genuine Cooper Sport making it sought after and collectable. Finished in British racing green with contrasting Platinum Silver roof, bonnet stripes and four spot lamps, this Cooper has been meticulously cared for and is accompanied with a full and comprehensive service history, it has always been serviced with Millers oil. It has covered just 36k in 23 years with just two previous owners, the last since 2005. It is presented in totally original condition throughout. Supplied to the long term owner John Cooper garages, still wearing its original dealer number plates, window sticker, key ring and original bill of sale. It has its original handbooks, service book which is stamped onto the extra pages and both sets of keys and fobs. This is a genuine Cooper Sport that has participated in many Cooper Car Club events throughout its life and has been regularly displayed proudly.

On the road this Cooper Sport is an absolute joy to drive. The 1275 engine is super smooth and near silent with excellent power delivery across the rev range and the gearbox is taught and precise as you would expect from such a low mileage and cared for example. It feels new to drive which really adds to the experience. Late model Minis are fitted with multi point fuel injection and are known as MPi. They are blissfully easy to use and all you need to do to start enjoying your Mini is turn the key and go. They feature taller gearing so long distance cruising is also a breeze. They also feature a factory fitted alarm and immobiliser, side impact beams and a drivers airbag. This model also has rear seat belts and servo operated disc brakes.

The interior of this Sport is beautifully presented and it still has that new car smell. It has full black leather seats with Platinum Silver inserts a turned aluminium six clock dash with magnolia dials and a matching steering wheel, the original and very sought after Rover CD player, alloy door furniture and the original Rover Mini rubber floor matts.

This Cooper has a completely original shell with all of its original panels, the correct vented sills, untouched gleaming floor pans and body coloured inner arches. It is also body coloured inside all four wheel arches and underneath. It was wax-oiled from new and has been regularly wax-oiled throughout its life. This has preserved it very very well indeed and also makes it useable in all weathers as it is well protected. As you an see from the pictures the paintwork is absolutely gleaming and it belies its 23 year vintage. It also has a fully fitted fleece indoor cover that it has always lived under. This is a fantastic opportunity to own a low mileage 2001 example, that puts you in an exclusive club. This Sport is a show quality cherished example that can also be driven and enjoyed like these cars should be.
