The Wrangler is arguably an indirect progression from the World War II Jeep, through the CJ (Civilian Jeeps) produced by Willys, Kaiser- Jeep and American Motors Corporation (AMC) from the mid-1940s through 1980s. All Wrangler models continue to use a separate body and frame, rigid live axles both front and rear, a tapering nose design with flared fenders, a fold-flat windshield and can be driven without doors. Also, with few exceptions, they have part-time four-wheel drive systems, with the choice of high and low gearing and standard are open bodies.
This Wrangler was registered new on 1st August 1996 and is the desirable 4. 0 Sport model. Presented in dark green coachwork the Jeep looks superb. The colour really suits this model and is complemented by grey interior seats and black trim. A very well-equipped example it benefits from larger wheels and new big tyres, upgraded Hella lights and is also fitted with a front bull bar and winch. The Wrangler Jeep is a lot of fun and we are told that this is no exception. Included in the sale is a sizeable history file including lots of main dealer history along with various sundry invoices, a current MoT valid until June, and it's current UK registration document.
