Description
Chassis records confirm that this is a genuine '481' prefix 3500S fitted with the 'D' suffix 9. 25:1 compression engine. This is a combination particularly beloved of enthusiasts as it means the 5-speed manual box and an engine that can run economically on lower octane fuels. This car has been sympathetically upgraded with some choice mechanical improvements, most notably a switch to a 5-speed SD1 gearbox. This naturally increases its long distance cruising ability and comfort. Elsewhere there are suspension and brake upgrades, an aluminium sump guard and a big bore stainless exhaust to show off that burbling Buick motor -The car is naturally MOT and tax exempt but was usefully recently MOT'd in mid 2023 (to comply with classic rallying requirements) so a buyer has an independent check on condition. This test expired in June 2023 but there were no advisories showing and the car has covered very few miles since. Specification includes:- Satellite digital speedometer - Heavy duty aluminium sump guard - Uprated brakes - Uprated suspension - Big Bore stainless steel exhaust - Battery Cut-Off switch (boot mounted) - Anti Spill battery mounting. An excellent example of a S2 P6, which has S1 bumpers fitted for use in classic road rallies or just as a great example of British Engineering, to use as you will.
