EXTERIOR
Finished in lustrous Steel Grey Metallic this low mileage M Sport coupe looks superb beneath our studio lighting. Following a machine polish by our in-house detailer the paintwork presents with a great depth of shine across every panel. Looking closely around the car the bodywork remains in fine condition with only a handful of minor blemishes including a few expected stone chips and a small scrape low down on the front bumper that has happened since we photographed the car for the previous owner. The headlights are clear and free from moisture ingress and all four wheels have just been refurbished to the highest standard by Lepsons. We’re also very pleased to report that the underside of the car is also notably tidy with no corrosion issues.
INTERIOR
The M Sport theme continues inside with sports seats upholstered in black Montana leather; the centre panels are pristine, the deep bolsters hint at only light use, and the electronic adjustments all work perfectly. Looking closer, finer details such as the gear selector and steering wheel look very fresh, the leather retaining a nice textured finish. The adjacent switchgear is also free from any major marking and operates as it should. A common issue with BMWs of this era can be heavily scratched interior trims but within this car the plastics are good all round, not 100% unmarked but still in nice original condition. In the footwells the carpets are spotless having always been protected by the original BMW overmats.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 2. 5-litre straight six offers effortless silky-smooth driving while still packing a punch when you need to get a shift on. The auto 'box is a perfect match for the 325Ci with almost undetectable gear changes. Hardly run-in with a mere 53k miles on the clock the car has been serviced at the following mileages: 11, 005 – 21, 941 – 33, 338 – 45, 871 – 49, 500 – and most recently at 52, 653 miles in November 2023. Since arriving with us the E46 has been fully checked over by our trusted local workshop who have given it a clean bill of health.
HISTORY FILE
This E46 M Sport coupe in rare Steel Grey was first registered in March 2003; it has now driven just 53k miles in the hands of only two owners. It was originally supplied by William Jacks BMW Sunningdale (becoming Sytner Sunningdale in 2006) who went on to look after the car up until 2021. The original William Jacks sticker can still be found in the rear window, the car also retaining Sytner number plates front and rear.
Within the History File you'll find the BMW document wallet with all handbooks still present. The last service was completed less than 700 miles ago and since arriving with us a full vehicle health check has been carried out and all four wheels have been professionally refurbished.
