Description
The Sigma Automobile Company, a small French manufacturer founded by Mr. Valade in 1913 and based at 63 Route de la Révolte in Levallois-Perret, was renowned for its sporty-styled and sturdy vehicles. These cars enjoyed notable success in England, where this type of automobile was particularly appreciated at the time.
The early models, such as the 8 and 20 hp, were essentially assemblies using chassis manufactured by Malicet & Blin, onto which Ballot or Scap engines were mounted. Sigma's reputation was enhanced among its illustrious clients, including Captain Georges Guynemer.
Despite its reputation, the company never produced more than 200 units per year on average. It ultimately ceased operations in 1928, marking the end of its history.
This beautiful Sigma type OV will surely make you appreciate the charm of pre-war automobiles.
