Overview
A striking Aston Martin V8 Vantage 4. 3 with a six-speed manual gearbox, finished in Tungsten Silver with a custom Iron Ore interior. Fitted with the following equipment from new:

19” seven spoke alloys finished in satin Anthracite

Power folding mirrors
Premium 700W sound system
Red coloured brake calipers

Additionally, this car has been fitted with the Bamford Rose 50HP Power Pack, which consists of tuned equal length exhaust manifolds, high flow 200CEL cats, N400 airbox, ECU remap and a 3-way exhaust valve control switch which cost £5040 in 2019. Suffice to say, it transforms the performance of the car. The interior has also been customised to replace the seat panels, door cards and dash top with charcoal Alcantara which contrasts the Iron Ore leather, along with piano black dash inserts.

The car comes with a full-service history with stamped book and invoices from Aston Martin main dealers and respected specialists such as Bamford Rose, McGurk and most recently Phoenix AM where approx. £2000 worth of service and maintenance work was carried out. A new battery has also been fitted recently.

Mechanical Condition
The car starts on the button from cold or warm and settles nicely to an even, if not particularly quiet idle. You can create even more drama on cold start by switching the exhaust valves wide open – you’ll need neighbours with a sense of humour to do this too often. On the road, the car drives very nicely, with no unwanted noises from the suspension and drivetrain. The manual gearbox has a nice weight to it and the clutch is not slipping – it was replaced by Bamford Rose at 32500 miles and when at Phoenix AM at the last service, we asked them to check the clutch operation and it was reported to be fine. These are mechanically strong cars and this example has proven to be very reliable.

Exterior Condition
The paintwork holds a nice deep shine and looks great with the red calipers shining through the anthracite wheels. There is no evidence of crash damage and inspection underneath has revealed all aluminium box sections and orange bonding to be intact and original. The wheels are in decent condition with some minor blemishes and shod with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres in all corners. Of course, with an 18-year-old car that has been used, it is not perfect but there is nothing that draws the eye and it remains a very smart looking example.

Interior Condition
The interior condition very much mirrors the exterior being very smart, but not perfect. The seats and carpets have no rips or discernible wear. One of the highlights is the premium 700W sound system which packs a powerful punch and a valuable upgrade from the standard 160W system. All dash lights go out as they should and there are no warnings on the info system. The AC has recently been re-gassed and blows cold. There are two items to mention, first the Sat Nav system does not raise and lower correctly – this is a known fault on Astons of this era, and not one that particularly requires attention as the Sat Nav is next to useless as would be expected from a 2006 system. Additionally, the drivers electric seat base height adjustment (rear) is inoperative but all other seat functions are fine, including the heated elements. However, nothing detracts from this being a very pleasant driving environment.

Summary
This a nice example of a V8 manual in a desirable colour combination with some great (and expensive!) upgrades to set it apart from the others.
