Description
Iconic and innovative British Saloon.
The Jowett Javelin was technologically advanced for its time, having been designed by Britain's best car engineer you've never heard of - Gerald Palmer. It possessed sporting performance and handling, good aerodynamics and comfortable seating for five.
Innovative and well-built, with torsion bar suspension and lightweight flat-four engine, surprisingly good to drive and would happily cruise happily at 65-70mph.
Sadly this vehicle has been unused for many years and now need extensive bodywork to make roadworthy. More recently the Engine was Overhauled by a specialist and is in good running order. The asking price is less than the cost of this work so the whole project is available at less than the spares value of the engine alone. A worthy project with option to adapt to a custom car, Special or possibly a Rat Rod. It could also possibly be used as a period stage prop in current state.
The vehicle can be viewed in Halifax West Yorkshire.
