Vehicle history:
This 250 GTE, which is listed at Pininfarina under the number 68266, was sold new to a Mr. Rapner. In 1987, the car was owned by Mario Salvi from Paris. However, the car was stolen during this period, as reported in La Vie de l'Auto in February 1988, although it was apparently recovered quite quickly, as a Parisian collector bought the car in March of the same year. This collector resold the car 10 years later to an Italian car enthusiast. After keeping the car in his garage for several years, he decided to give it a complete restoration in 2012. He turned to well-known Italian specialists to carry out the work. Autofficina Omega by Corrado Patella was responsible for the mechanics and chassis, including a complete overhaul of the engine and gearbox, while Garage Sports Cars in Modena, under the direction of Walter Giusti, concentrated on the bodywork and assembly. The wiring, passenger compartment and dashboard were also reworked to ensure the car was beyond reproach. A complete folder with invoices totaling more than 85, 000 euros is included in the restoration file, which we are happy to present to you. A German collector bought the car 10 years ago and had the Ferrari further optimized in several respects. This 250 GTE is currently registered in Germany.
