Description
This is a lovely example of the R129 Mercedes SL, finished in Tourmaline Green over mushroom beige interior.
It has a full service history and has just been into Mercedes Benz Edinburgh for an inspection and full service. The car was given a thorough health check and given all greens, except for a couple of ambers for bushes and steering damper. These items were then replaced. The service also included transmission, spark plugs and brake fluid, in addition to the obvious oil and filters. The health check print out is available, along with the service and inspection.
The paperwork also includes the build sheets, original book pack, service history booklet, invoices and old MOTs. The car has passed every MOT with no advisories. The most recent MOT was done in April 24. Both sets of keys are present. Goodyear eagle tyres all round with a recorded 7mm even tread.
Body work is excellent, with just some minor stone chips and the odd little mark here, which can be forgiven on a 28 year old car. There is no rust and the underside is completely solid and clean. The paintwork has a brilliant deep shine and has just been fully detailed inc 3 stage machine polish. Wheels are as new. Hardtop is in excellent condition. Soft top has been replaced and is also in excellent condition. All mechanisms work perfectly.
The interior is pretty much perfect, save for some light cracking in the leather to drivers seat base. Everything works as it should. The stereo has been replaced with a blaupunkt Bremen item for modern bluetooth connectivity and quality, with a coherent look.
All in all, this is a wonderful Mercedes that comes with the added peace of mind of a recent inspection and service at Mercedes Benz. Everything has been addressed and it is ready to be enjoyed for the summer.
