A car we’ve sold twice before, and now back for a third time as the current owner has fallen in love with a Gen 2 987 Cayman S (we understand the feeling!), T933WPB is a fantastic example of the original Boxster 2. 5. Now showing just 67, 283 miles, this is a fabulous early 2. 5 Boxster in excellent condition throughout.
T933 WPB is a highly original, low mileage Boxster 2. 5 in classic Arctic Silver with Metropole Blue leather interior and blue hood. Options fitted include automatic air conditioning, heated electric leather seats, and extended leather to dashboard and door panels.
The car has now had 7 owners in total, and has covered just over 63, 000 miles over its 23 year life. A decent proportion of those miles were covered over the first 3 years, and in 2002 at 39, 612 miles, T933WPB found its way into the private collection of a garage proprietor in Sussex, who kept the car for 14 years, eventually selling to to Paul Langley of Manor Garage in Box, a well known Porsche specialist. Paul kept the car for a year before selling in June 2017 to an engineer working for Continental Tyres in Devizes, Wiltshire. He booked his Boxster in at Steve Bull Specialist Cars, where he spent nearly £3, 000 replacing the clutch, dual mass flywheel, rear main seal and some other smaller items.
In preparing the car for sale originally in 2019, we carried out a Minor service, changed the brake fluid, re-gassed the AC system, replaced an O2 sensor and fitted new fasteners and support plates to the exhaust cats. The first chap we sold it to continued this work, with his local Porsche specialist carrying out a Major service including spark plugs, drive belt, brake fluid and gearbox oil change in March 2020 at 58, 160 miles. He then had all four lower suspension arms (the “coffin arms”) replaced, and a new Air/ Oil separator and AC service.
The second chap bought T933WPB from us in May 2021, and has continued to maintain and improve the car during his 3 year tenure. The hood has been replaced, with the new item featuring a heated glass rear screen, the leather on the seat bolsters has been refurbished, and a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport tyres fitted. Scheduled maintenance has been carried out by Porsche specialists Walker Autotech, the last service a Minor in May 2023 at 65, 483 miles. We have carried out a full inspection and a brake fluid change, and the car will be supplied with a fresh 12 month MOT.
T933WPB looks superb in its original Arctic Silver paint, and drives faultlessly, the rev-hungry 2. 5 litre flat six delivering smooth power to complement the poised handling and perfect balance of the original Boxster. The car feels light on its feet, with incredible steering feel and strong brakes, all the control weights evenly matched and precise in their actions. A great drive, and a true modern classic.
