EUL 7V was supplied new in January 1980 by London Rolls Royce agents Jack Barclay Ltd and has covered 76000 miles supported by its original service book and more recent service invoices and MOT certificates. Over half of the cars mileage was covered in the first three years with maintenance carried out by Rolls Royce Motors in Acton at 3782, 6367, 18609, 26313 and 35928 miles, and then serviced by H. P Arnett & Son Ltd in Bournemouth at 42054 miles in September 1983. Further servicing was carried out by Rolls Royce Dutton Forshaw in Kent and then over decades Overton Vehicle Overhauls in Essex looked after the Shadow II. In 1994 Overton Vehicle Overhauls serviced the car at 65632 miles but the Shadow only covered 6000 miles between 1994 and 2012 when the Essex based Rolls Royce specialists then carried out a major re-commissioning program.
At 71, 000 miles in 2012 with Rolls Royce specialists Overton Vehicle Overhauls over £10, 000 was spent on work to include a new steering rack, new oil cooler pipes, new brake hoses, accumulator kits, overhauled brake pumps, front shock absorbers, new fuel hoses, fuel pumps, new rocker cover gaskets, exhaust gaskets and induction gasket. Having covered less than 2000 miles, in 2019 the Shadow II was in the hands of London based DD Classics and a further £10, 000 was spent on the car. Work was carried out by Chris Moroney Rolls Royce & Bentley Specialists and work included replacing all four interior light switch door stoppers, new wiper spindle assembly, further new brake accumulators and major work to the braking system, new exhaust mountings, new A/ C drier seals along with an R134 conversion kit, an uprated starter motor and a major service.
Once prepared, the car was sold in 2020 to a good friend of ours who has enjoyed four years of reliable, very happy motoring. Over this time the Shadow has covered 3500 miles and has been looked after by a Sussex based Rolls Royce specialist. The Shadow has also been used for many fashion shoots featuring artists such as British DJ and record producer D Double E and also featured in a music video. EUL 7V is a very well presented example with sharp, clean bodywork and bright paintwork. The Shadow has real presence, it stands incredibly well and has the feel of a very well kept, largely original car. The upholstery is beautifully presented, commensurate with the nice mileage. On the road the car handles perfectly, as expected the Shadow II offers comfort, luxury and performance and has arrived with us absolutely on the button and ready to use and enjoy.
