Impeccable 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz
Cadillac manufactured only 1, 320 examples of the Eldorado Biarritz in 1959, so it's surprising that several still exist. Even more surprising is that even one of those still in existence is in such extraordinary condition as the car we have for sale at AutosClassicCars.
Fully functional, there are videos showing how everything works: the hood, the air conditioning, the power steering, the windows—everything is functional and in perfect condition. The car is in excellent condition.
Its engine, its treasure, hidden under the hood of the Eldorado Biarritz is a 6. 4-liter (390 cubic-inch) V8 engine that once generated 345 hp of gross power.
1959 was the first model year of the fourth generation of the Eldorado. The Biarritz name had been introduced three years earlier to distinguish the convertible models (the only type of Eldorado produced at the time) from the new coupes, called Sevilles. Standard equipment on the 1959 cars included a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, two-speed windshield wipers, an exterior mirror and power brake assist, power steering, power windows, six-way adjustable seats and door locks, front bench seats, a dimming rearview mirror, an automatic tailgate lock, air conditioning, and fully power seats and windows.
Bucket seats were optional for the 1959 Eldorado Biarritz, and it is believed that only 99 examples (7. 5%) were fitted. This is one of them.
This model was acquired many years ago in Holland from a prestigious manufacturer, where it was imported from the US via Canada, where it was 100% restored. Today, after enjoying it for many years, it was decided to sell it and AutosClassicCars is selling it.
