Hello, For sale: Citroën Saxo VTS 1. 6 8 valves 100hp. End of June 2002 189, 500 km Very good condition inside and out Maintenance up to date. CT dated 17 October 2024 with 2 minor defects: - Adjustment of the left front fog light too low (too high at the previous CT, corrected since (but too low)) - Surface corrosion of the exhaust silencer (photo) As for its weaknesses to date: - 1st which needs to go well when cold (following prolonged stoppage of the vehicle).
Once the first few km have passed, there are no more difficulties (the 1st time is always when the vehicle is stationary).
This car became part of the family in 2006 (as soon as its second owner). It has always been looked after, kept in very good condition and parked in a safe place.
This has enabled it to be kept in its current condition.
There has been no restoration or other major cleaning (last wash with a protective wax), and it is here in its original configuration (99. 5% for the purists).
Nevertheless, there have been some mechanical improvements to address or anticipate the weaknesses associated with this model: - Preventive installation of Teflon bushes in the rear axle in 2012. And this on intact spans. The torsion bars can be removed and extended effortlessly (regularly checked). The (plastic) gears on the ventilation flap have been replaced by brass ones. A stainless steel intermediate silencer has been fitted (the quality of the steel used in current spare parts is mediocre).
It is equipped with (in addition to the standard equipment of a saxo VTS): - Functional air conditioning (recharged in 2020) - Side airbags (provide a more enveloping lateral support) - Original car radio (with its code) but the CD player is non-functional - Two-tone horn (installed at the dealership by the first owner) This saxo VTS is an easy car to handle and economical (consumption and maintenance costs).
Its 8-valve engine makes it incredibly flexible for everyday use (on departmental and national roads and in town) as well as a few sportier outings. It is intended for someone wishing to keep it in its strict original condition. Vehicle can be seen in Saintes in the Charente-Maritime region (near the A10 motorway).
