Presented in 1982, the second generation of the BMW 3 Series was intended to be even more striking than its predecessor, the BMW E21 (1975-1982).
To achieve this, BMW offered several body styles (saloon, estate (Touring), coupé and baur/ cabriolet) as well as a range of engines, with a mix of 4 and 6 cylinders in the catalogue.
The success of this model was huge, and in the race for the top prize, the first BMW M3 was presented on an E30! The start of a legend...
The early 1990s saw the end of production of this collector's model, in true Youngtimers style!
The BMW E30 was gradually replaced (depending on the bodywork) by the E36 generation.
NYC's/ OXOTO is offering for sale a very fine example from June 1991 (i. e. a phase 2), delivered new in Aalst, Belgium, by the BMW Romein garage. The car is beige (Kaschmirbeige) with a light brown interior, and currently has just under 222, 000 km. We have perfect traceability of its mileage, having followed Car Pass since 1999 and, above all, with its very complete maintenance booklet on the servicing carried out at the time in a BMW dealership.
This BMW has always remained Belgian, its current owner having owned it since March 2022 and having decided to sell it with a view to buying another BMW ancestor.
The bodywork looks good, it's not perfect (a spot of corrosion in the hollow of the left rear wing, when you open the boot) but otherwise it looks good: there are no dents or scratches.
The areas susceptible to corrosion are sound (boot floor, wheel arches, rocker panels, etc.). See photos taken on deck on our website.
Note that all the windows are still original (see photos on our website with the logos). Presumably, it has not been damaged in the past.
The interior is also in good condition, with no cracks in the seats or dashboard. There is, however, some fine, logical wear on the steering wheel, a stain on the front right-hand carpet and some fine holes in the centre console, but overall, the interior remains very clean.
The soft top (in two parts) is very good, nothing to complain about, including the opening and closing mechanisms, which are manual.
As far as the mechanics are concerned, we have an excellent follow-up of the period with its original service booklet. A new water pump and major servicing (oil, air filter, spark plug cable) and balancing were carried out again this year at 221, 036 km. It has always been well maintained, with a linear mileage (which is great).
The last MOT report dates back to June 2024 (221, 536 km) and makes no mention of anything!
In addition to the service booklet, we also have the original COC, the duplicate keys and all the original manuals. It also has a spare wheel.
