Description

1966 Porsche 911 SWB - Californian car in black plate - This is an early 1966 Porsche 911 Coupé, so an early short wheelbase. This is a matching numbers example, which has travelled California all its life, and you can see this on the car, which has been beautifully preserved. The car is available in the colour combination red with a black interior and with the rare green instruments in the dashboard. The car originally left the factory in the rare Aga Blue colour with a black artificial leather interior. The car was delivered on 25 October 1966 and purchased by the first owner on 5 August 1967. The car was delivered by Porsche Centrum Pacific, Burlingame and the first owner drove the car to California. All this can be seen on the Kardex, which can be sent if you are interested. The 911 currently has Dutch registration and wears the beautiful blue number plates of Dutch vintage cars. A lot has been done to the car recently, for example we have completely repaired the brakes and/ or replaced them where necessary. Wearing parts such as ball joints, steering rods and steering knuckles have also been replaced. The car is also fitted with an electronic ignition. What's more, the lamps have been adapted to European requirements. It drives, drives and brakes well. Simply a beautiful classic to enjoy. Recently passed inspection with ease. Bodywork and paintwork: The bodywork is in good condition, as can be seen from the photo. Very solid and no structural rust is visible. The paintwork is also neat and the paint measurements show that the car has indeed been repainted once, but we measure around 200-300mu, see also the photos in the gallery. The gloss of the paintwork is still good and the car's paintwork is in good condition. Interior: The interior of the car is still in very good condition. The carpet is as neat as ever, as are the green instruments. The seat and backrests of the chairs show normal signs of wear, but are free of tears. The passenger seat headrest has a tear on one side, which could be reupholstered for cleanliness reasons. In general, the interior is in immaculate condition, with normal signs of wear and tear. Mechanics: mechanically, we've done a lot for the car, the engine runs perfectly and has an electric ignition. The car drives, clutches and brakes correctly. What's more, the car has been approved by the TC, so it is fully 'roadworthy' according to the requirements of the Dutch TC. The complete brakes have been fully checked as well as all wearing parts and replaced if necessary. Possible transport options within Europe, both open and closed. If you would like more photos or videos, you can comment on this post. Honestly, Patrick
