Superb 1936 Packard Super Eight, model 1405, 5/ 7 passenger, which served the US Consulate in Nice during the Second World War. This American limousine is powered by its original in-line 8-cylinder engine, with a displacement of 6, 292 cm3, developing 150 horsepower via a 3-speed synchromesh selective gearbox. Features and accessories include spoked wheels, side-mounted spare wheels with See-Rite Packard mirrors, wide whitewall tyres, 4-wheel mechanical brakes, chassis lubrication system, engine oil filtration system, trumpet horns, genuine Packard rear boot, interior folding seats and window blinds. The car has been fully restored down to the last detail. The body has been detached from the chassis, which has been sandblasted, and the woodwork has been refurbished by specialists. The mechanics have been completely overhauled to the same high standards as Packard's at the time.
