Collector selling a very nice 2-litre Manta "S" built on 25/ 02/ 1980, 110 bhp engine. I have owned this car for over 20 years. Always parked in a dry place and under cover. Many recent repairs carried out: - Preventive "black" anti-rust treatment of the whole underside of the car, on a very sound base.
- Carburettor replaced by fuel injection (more reliable and economical) - Front brakes new discs and pads; rear brakes new - Exhaust new - Front springs new - Engine, gearbox, axle, spark plugs, coolant changed, brakes bled - Battery new Complete paintwork at the end of 2023 on a sound base, in its original colour.
The inside of the wings and the wing passages on the body have been treated and protected. Painting of the doorways and door interiors, as well as the perimeter of the tailgate and its interior. The car has been completely painted and varnished; the bonnet and grille have been repainted in satin black, as has the underside of the bonnet. The 4 original ATS wheels have been sandblasted, repainted and varnished. 4 new Maxxis 4-season tyres with good TCS test results. Details: the dashboard is in excellent condition and not cracked. Recaro seats from Manta GTE have been fitted, improving comfort and support. Although not new, there are no holes or sagging in the sides.
The car is pleasant to drive, holds the road well, pushes well, has plenty of torque, is fitted with a fairly short gearbox (3500 rpm at 110 - 115 km/ h), and takes off remarkably quickly. It consumes 7. 5 litres/ 100 km on long and varied journeys. Of course, the CT has been passed and is virtually clean.
Eligible for Monte Carlo Historique and other FFSA VHC rallies, a good alternative to the Kadett C GT/ E, Commodore and Ascona, with all the joys of rear-wheel drive.
