Description

Exceptional, For sale Porsche 911 2. 2E concours condition ... But first, let's take a look at the history of this model: The Porsche 911 was developed to replace the Porsche 356, which was more powerful, smoother, larger, more comfortable but also more expensive.

The new car made its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1963. Its design was the work of Ferdinand Alexander "Butzi" PORSCHE, who died on 05 April 2012. Initially called "Porsche 901", according to its internal project number, Peugeot protested on the grounds that in France it had exclusive rights to car names consisting of three digits with a zero in the middle.
So Porsche simply changed the name to "911". Since 1964, the Porsche 911 has been recognised as one of the most emblematic sports cars in history, and this remains true today. Initially offered in a 6-cylinder 2. 0/ 130 bhp version, it was in 1970 that the engines of all 911s were upgraded to 2, 195 cm3. Power outputs were increased to 125 bhp for the 911T, 155 bhp for the 911E and 180 bhp for the 911S. Remarkably, despite the lower power output of the 911E compared with the 911S, the 911E was quicker during acceleration phases up to 160 km/ h. The Porsche 911 2. 2E offered by ER Automobiles was delivered new to Aix en Provence, so it is French in origin, which is extremely rare these days. It was fully restored in Dordogne between 2020 and 2023. The car is in spectacular condition and, above all, it is full stock. For example, the body (carboby shell), once restored, was cataphorised, and the powertrain was completely rebuilt to the highest standards. 4 Bilstein shock absorbers, perfectly in tune with the original configuration, guarantee period roadholding. In fact, the entire suspension system has been set up in this way, which is quite a feat. Despite everything, all the parts that could be saved were, and that's one of the key points of its incredible condition. The passenger compartment has also been the subject of particular attention. When you step inside, you are immediately transported back to 1971, when the car was first delivered. This 911 is in almost concours condition, almost because the gearbox, an original G10 version, is not that of the car when it left the factory. The 911 2. 2s, particularly the E and S models, were very popular with connoisseurs because of their low production run (1970/ 1971). Their versatility remains real since these cars can be used on the current road network or in VHC. Finally, we have a substantial restoration file which will enable you to measure the extent of the work carried out on this magical Porsche 911 2. 2E. We remain at your disposal. Yours sincerely
