Hello everyone, I've got to face up to the fact that the garage is going to be too small, so I'm selling my faithful Yamaha XJ 400 from April 1981. 58, 500 kms, very good condition, registration in good order and in my name (the CT will of course be passed before the sale). The engine has been partly rebuilt at 50, 000 kms (pistons, timing chain, all engine seals changed, new and Japanese intake pipes, check of various parts such as the clutch, gearbox, etc.).
The carburettor diaphragms were changed, carburettor adjustment and synchronisation carried out. The cylinder head gasket was also changed, the cylinder head tightening checked, new steering column bearings fitted, brake caliper piston seals and brake pads). The chassis is also in very good condition, nothing to report (shock absorbers changed and original Yamaha, spi seals and fork drain done). Other work and parts changed: Spark plugs, air filter, passenger grab bar, original indicators and mirrors found and fitted, etc. It is sold with its decoration (Kenny Roberts style), a very big job having been done on the tank and a very rare vintage Giuliari saddle. The tyres are ok, Marshall 4-in-1 pot in excellent condition. EVERYTHING is original, apart from the colour, of course. The price: 2, 300 euros.
