1961 Triumph TR6R 650cc pre-unit. This is a nice original UK matching numbers TR6R, that retains it’s original registration number. The frame, engine and gearbox numbers, are all matching. This information has been taken from the Triumph factory records, as confirmed by the VMCC, when the TR6R was new. The crankcases are also the original matched numbered pair, but these numbers aren’t recorded in the the Triumph factory records. The original buff log book is present, as well as a current V5C registration document. The wheels have been rebuilt at some point, with stainless steel spokes being fitted. The Smiths chronometric speedometer and rev counter were refurbished around 2012. The TR6R has a new battery fitted, and all of the electrics work. The TR6R sounds glorious, but hasn’t been on the road for a few years, so may require some light recommissioning. Most of the pre-unit TR6R’s went to America, so it’s nice to see an original UK bike, with it’s original documentation present.
