Description
The VW-Porsche 914 is one of those atypical cars that we like to (re)discover and that leaves no one indifferent... Introduced in 1969 at Frankfurt, this model was to evolve until 1976. Originating in the United States, the TARGA model offered here was built in September 1975 and fitted with a 2. 0 4-cylinder flat engine and 5-speed gearbox. Initially imported into Belgium, it was then purchased by its current owner a few years ago and returned to its European configuration.
Put back on the road in 2021, many expenses have been carried out, notably: disc brakes / brake pads, tyres, starter, driver's door key cylinder, rebuilding of the electric wiring harness, headlight mechanism, spark plugs, filters and oils, partial repainting of the bodywork in its original red colour; gearbox and engine overhaul, seats, carpets and interior sky at Terriou (91) in 2022, overhaul at Miramond Dan-Auto (75) in 12/ 24 - over €10, 000 worth of invoices (available).
Note that there are no water ingresses above the battery (which could create a chain reaction of corrosion from the battery tray to the right-hand side rail). The vehicle starts, brakes and drives perfectly. However, there are a few defects that need to be rectified if the vehicle is to be faultless: a slight scratch on the right-hand rear wing and a very slight dent in the boot.
