Lot 285
1969 Kawasaki 500cc Mach III (H1)
Registration no. MCK 502G
Frame no. KAF - 08279
Engine no. KAE 08138
Retaining its original frame and engine pairing, this beautiful Kawasaki Mach III offered here was first registered in the UK on 3rd November 2015. Acquired by the vendor in 2018, the machine has been restored regardless of cost and to the highest possible standard by a Kawasaki specialist using mostly new-old-stock Kawasaki parts. The 1969 Mach III (H1) was available in either grey or white, the latter being considered by many to be the best looking. According to the Vendor, the white repaint is 100% correct for this model/ year (the previous grey had faded). It should be noted that the HPI database records the previous colour as black, while the V5C records the colour as grey. The restoration included full rebuilds of the engine, gearbox and carburettors, the crankshaft being overhauled by a renowned Kawasaki triples specialist. The engine rebuild receipt is on file together with those for parts sourced from Z-Power and other specialists. Only some 1, 000 miles have been covered since the restoration and the Dream Machine paintwork is said to be still good as new. The machine was last run in December 2024. The history folder contains a current V5C document; copies of old V5Cs, old MoTs and old sales invoices; and the aforementioned restoration bills.
All lots are sold 'as is/ where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding. Visit the Bonhams Motorcycles website for all pertinent auction information.
