1951 BOWN 98cc.
Description:
Bown motorcycles were produced in Tonypandy, Wales, from 1950 to 1957. Before 1949, the company made autocycle models for Aberdale of London. In 1949, they adopted the "Bown" name and began manufacturing motorcycles under their own brand.
In 1951, Bown introduced a small motorcycle powered by a 98cc two-speed Villiers 1F engine. The engine was integrated into a frame with duplex downtubes and paired with tubular girder forks.
This is a rare chance to own one of these elusive bikes.
This example is in good condition and runs as it should.
It comes with the original buff log book and a current V5, and is TAX & MOT exempt.
