Classic Car Design offers you this beautiful Austin Healey 100/ 6. It is of French origin! It was restored in 2024. A photo album and numerous invoices show the extent of the work, including the fitting of a 2. 9L type 29D engine (not matching) from AH 3000 BT7, which is still being run in.
On the outside, this roadster sports one of the colour combinations that suits it best: metallic blue/ beige... the owner wanted to give it a sportier look, so he had the wheels painted in black epoxy and omitted the bumpers (they are supplied with the car). The small fog lamps and leather bonnet strap add the finishing touch! The whole is in very nice condition. The car has side windows and a removable, well-fitting soft top. The black interior has also been refurbished, from the seats and carpets to the dashboard, which features a beautiful ivory-backed instrument panel.
Mechanically, numerous parts have been replaced, including pistons, rings, bearings, oil pump, water pump, large-volume radiator, hoses, automatic additional fan, high-performance propeller, aluminium underbody, complete clutch kit including transmitter and receiver, hi-torque starter motor, brakes (front discs) including hydraulics and even the wiring harness... All that can be said is that the car runs perfectly, with a bewitching sound thanks to the side exhaust. The engine is mated to a gearbox that handles with firmness and precision, and the overdrive engages smoothly in 3rd and 4th gears. What we have here is a car with a strong personality yet with a rare elegance, a real invitation to go for a drive...
