First registered July 2002 this is one of only 256 Phase 1 RenaultSport Clios supplied to the UK-market when new. Originally launched in 2001, the wide-hipped ‘baby supercar' was based on the Clio Mk II but shared very little with its standard counterpart. A spin-off from the 1998 ‘Clio Trophy’ race series, the Clio V6 230 was the spiritual successor to the mid-engined 5-Turbo Where the rear seats would normally be, nestled a tweaked version of the 3-litre, 24v, V6 unit from the Laguna saloon offering 227 bhp fed to the rear wheels and enabling 0-60 in 6. 2 seconds and 146 mph. Upgrades from a standard Phase 1 include; original Trophy cup wheels(very rare), Yokohama tyres, KW V3 shocks with upgraded top mounts, front splitter, Trophy Cup rear spoiler, bespoke exhaust, RenaultSport steering wheel, bucket seats, TRS harnesses, Lifeline plumbed-in fire extinguisher and the car is wrapped in period Trophy-style livery.
Recent servicing by SG Motorsport with the major cambelt service being carried out in August 2022. A very well sorted, and usable Clio V6 which sounds amazing
