We are pleased to offer this outstanding 1994 Aston Martin V8 Vantage V550 – a rare and beautifully specified example of what remains one of the marque’s most significant modern grand tourers.
Finished in the elegant Rolls-Royce Royal blue metallic over a Parchment leather interior with dark blue accents and walnut veneer trim, this example presents in exceptional condition throughout. The bodywork, paint, trim and wheels are all in excellent order, with the only notable blemish being light wear to the driver’s carpet – a minor point that can be easily addressed if desired.
This is one of very few cars built with the desirable 6-speed manual gearbox, and it has covered just 31, 700 miles from new. Supplied with a complete and detailed service history dating back to its original delivery, the car has recently benefitted from significant mechanical attention. Notably, in November 2007, the car was subject to a full engine rebuild and strip down with Rikki Cann.
The V550 was a major engineering statement from Aston Martin, with a reworked chassis and twin mechanically driven Eaton superchargers bringing the output of the 5. 3-litre V8 to an impressive 550bhp and 550lb/ ft of torque. Performance figures were formidable for the era, with 0–60mph in 4. 6 seconds and a top speed in excess of 185mph – placing it firmly in the supercar territory of its day.
Just 239 examples of the V550 were built between 1993 and 1999, and very few of those were delivered in such a refined and well-preserved specification. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a highly original and carefully maintained car, ready for either serious collecting or enthusiastic use.
