Description
L'Atelier des 1000 is pleased to present this rare MG B V8 Roadster for sale today in a sporty configuration with this MG Racing Green colour and a yellow Sebring-type skirt to match the genuine black leather interior. Although the B V8 only existed in a GT version, only a few convertible examples managed to be homologated, notably Costello. The classic MG B is the archetypal British roadster! Our example brilliantly combines British elegance with an assertive character worthy of an AC Cobra, and is powered by the famous Rover 3. 5L V8, which delivers a whopping 180bhp and weighs 10kg less than the 4-cylinder 1. 8L normally fitted. Prepared here in a fast-road spirit, it will lend itself to both sporty touring and historic or regularity rallies.
Here is a list of the main improvements: - 5-speed gearbox - Telescopic shock absorbers - Oil cooler - Stainless steel exhaust system - Hard top - Brake assist - Electronic ignition - Costello intake - Costello axle - Costello drive shaft - Rear strut kit - Moto Lita steering wheel - Genuine leather upholstery - Black rims - Sebring skirt - Aviation brake hoses This model has been meticulously maintained, with a file of invoices covering the last ten years. Mechanically, the engine starts effortlessly, without any suspicious noise or smoke. It revs up straight away. It benefits from a Costello intake and a stainless steel exhaust system, which produces a pleasant sound. The 5-speed synchronised gearbox has recently been flushed, and shifts smoothly and precisely. The clutch has also been changed, and the driveshaft and axle have recently been replaced, both by Costello. The battery, alternator and belt have been replaced for sale, as have the steering bellows. The running gear behaves well, thanks in particular to the telescopic suspension fitted at both front and rear, with the leafs replaced in 2025.
Braking is assisted and particularly powerful, thanks in particular to the recent replacement of the front brake callipers and reinforced hoses. The black spoked wheels, in excellent condition, enhance the car's sporty appearance.
The car is fitted with new tyres and has a spare wheel. The paintwork is in good condition, with a uniform shine and no major flaws. The chrome is bright. The black leather upholstery is superb, with a uniform and elegant patina.
The original steering wheel has been replaced by a Motolita wooden one, which adds an authentic touch to the whole. The dashboard is well preserved, and the instrumentation works perfectly. The black vinyl soft top is in good condition, and the vehicle is sold with a hard top. A basic service will be carried out prior to the sale. Given the general condition, configuration and history of this MG B V8, we are asking €39, 990. Trade-in possible.
