The Porsche 914 had its world premiere in 1969 at the IAA. Unlike its big 911 brothers, the 914 series is equipped with rear - mid engines. So if you will, the 914 models are the predecessors of today's Porsche Cayman series. At that time, the special design of a rear-mid engine was only available in racing or in very expensive small-series sports cars such as the Ford GT40. The Targa roof section included with all 914s can be easily removed and stowed under the lid of the rear storage compartment. Nevertheless, enough space remains in the vehicle for luggage, through the second front trunk available.
This 914 with VW engine comes from California and was painted sunny yellow there by the owner at the time after some time. The Porsche did not stay long in this color and has now regained its original red-orange hue. The car has received a complete engine overhaul at the end of summer 2022. Furthermore, the compact sports car is in a well-maintained condition and has no traces of rust or corrosion. After this 914 was sold to a customer of ours in December 2022, we promptly also received a green 914/ 6. The customer spontaneously decided to change his mind and took the green 6 cylinder 914. Now we are again selling the orange 914/ 4 on behalf of the customer.
