On sale with Bruce Greetham Classic Benz Ltd is a beautiful R107 1988 F plate 300 SL. The current owner has cherished this SL for over 24 years, living a life in his heated garage. Only used when in fine weather and serviced and MOT'd every year. Previous to that are three other owners which carries service records and stamps throughout their journey. Painted in the iconic Signal Red, and feel the best colour to complement this is Cream leather interior. No rips or tears, and a very honest SL. It was road tested with seamless gear change and compliant suspension with no hidden problems. The bulkhead chamber was inspected by me and found to be in complete original condition, showing factory spot welds and body coloured sections. This is an important part of a R107, which can be very easily overlooked and taken for granted. All original carpets look fresh. The wood console is showing its nice, lush finish. Overall, this is a very genuine R107 which has not been over-spent to give it the look. The leading edges of the arches have been stone-guarded to give it the protection it deserve. It fires up the key without any hesitation and performs perfectly with the nice 300 exhaust tone.
The Books, manuals are present, and a hardtop sitting on a frame covered for those winter driving days. The alloy wheels are still original, with the factory finish, which identifies why it is so original. Beautifully presented and in a colour that just suits this model.
