Description
LIBERIA 98 cc 1955 RESTORED AS NEW Sell LIBERIA 2-stroke Sachs 98 cc moped from 1955.
Everything has been rebuilt as new and identical (original or old stocks): - electronic ignition (only exception to the original model but not visible), - engine and gearbox dismantled and overhauled (output pinion redone), - paint by a painter specialising in old vehicles, - all chrome (handlebars, controls, rims with chambers and tyres, air filter, exhaust assembly, headlight cap and parabola), - electric wiring harness, all cables including speedometer, freewheel, saddle top, crankset ... etc ... - .... - list too long to list everything! The list is too long to go into in detail! This is no longer a restoration but a rebuild that respects the original. I'm selling it because I'm getting too old (75 and prostheses) to drive it and I'm only interested in doing a quality restoration.
Please note that this vehicle is far from easy to drive (suspension at the front, rigid frame at the rear, engine high in the centre of gravity); it is mainly a collector's item in ex-factory condition that can be used for small outings or exhibitions. Collector's vehicle registration document in my possession, roadworthiness test less than six months old and positive.
Sold for less than the cost price, i. e. €2, 500 (no negotiation possible), with the possibility of an exchange.
