Craner classics are offering this amazing Austin 7 with a lovely vintage history from lands end to john O'Groats. The Austin 7 nicknamed little Arthur left the old lover garage in Wiltshire on its 1, 500 mile journey to raise money for charity in 1980. After the first 20 miles little Arthur had a puncture and then completed its full journey averaging 200 miles a day at 35 mph reaching its destination without any problems at all. This is a charming little car with such big history. The Austin 7 came into the gentleman's family in 1934 brought by the gentleman's great uncle Bert snelgrove and he used the car for getting to work as a chauffeur at Boscombe down. In the early fifties Bert and his wife and his family used little Arthur go on holiday in Brixham Devon. Eventually over the years little Arthur was parked behind the old garage and eventually the car was wheeled into the garage into storage. The garage that specialised in car body repairs and maintenance and was stored inside for several years. The old garage used to empty the spray guns out on little Arthur which probably preserved it for so long and eventually the car was restored by the garage owner. This is a charming little car which fires instantly into life with a superb lively little engine. The car has been rewired and what fun charming little car it is too.
