Hello, I am putting up for sale a Peugeot 404 cabriolet with fuel injection, bodied by Pininfarina and produced in 10389 units, of which only 7375 were in the fuel injection version. The car has belonged to the same owner since May 2002 and has always been maintained so that it can be driven with complete peace of mind. It is fitted with a stainless steel exhaust system supplied by Podinox and an alpaca canvas bonnet made by a professional saddler. Mechanically, the electric fuel pump has just been replaced. The hydrovac servo brake and hoses are also new, providing very effective braking. The pivot ball joints, wheel bearings, flectors, radiator, fuel tank and alternator have all been replaced or reconditioned recently. The car runs perfectly and starts impeccably both hot and cold, and all the electrical signalling components are functional. There are no problems with the gearbox or axle either. The entire upholstery was redone in white imitation almost 30 years ago and still looks good. As for the bodywork, the underpinnings and floorboards are very sound and corrosion-free. A maintenance file containing various invoices attesting to the car's care will be given to the buyer. This 404 cabriolet, which competes with the Alfa Romeo and Fiat Spider and is the younger sister of the 504 cabriolet, can be viewed in the Yvelines by appointment, 20 minutes from Porte Maillot or RER line A and close to the A13, A86, A14 and A15 motorways.
