History: Convertible cruising with style. Jaguar’s X100 project was built a total of 90, 000 times between 1995 and 2005, with just under 14, 000 of those fitted with the powerful V8 supercharger. With a 0–100 km/ h time of 5. 4 seconds and a top speed of 260 km/ h, the XKR remains one of the fastest sports cars today. And as a 4-seat cabriolet it is still one of the strongest cars on the road. Only its elegance at the turn of the millennium is, and remains, unbeatable and timeless. This exceptionally well‑kept example has covered only 76, 000 kilometres from its two previous owners. Bodywork and paint: The flawless bodywork has to this day avoided damage and has never needed repainting. There is a small dent on one door, caused by an inattentively opened door from another vehicle. After the paint sealant, the beautifully glossy finish with a delicate metallic shade is almost like new. Interior: The interior was professionally refreshed in Summer 2024 and the area around the driver's seat was recoloured. All trim pieces are in perfect condition, controls and gauges are fully functional. The soft top is undamaged, and the roof hydraulics were overhauled in 2024. Engine and mechanics: The entire mechanicals are impeccable and very well maintained. The engine delivers very good performance and emission figures. The automatic transmission shifts perfectly, and the brakes were also repaired for the last MOT inspection. Chassis: The suspension has perfect test-stand values, the power steering is quiet and easy to operate. Driving experience: A car for connoisseurs. If a Porsche is too expensive, a Maserati too loud, and a Mercedes not charming enough, you’ll enjoy the power of the supercharger, the gentle rumble of the V8 engine and the incomparable charm of a true British gentleman driver. Recommendation: With top equipment and all conceivable extras in elegant black, this XKR is a wonderful summer cabrio that handles on all roads and in all weather with ease. It is not a collector’s item like the XK, although the turbocharged version and a specimen with so few kilometres certainly have that potential.
