The 5-speed manual gearbox comes standard with Bosch’s rev-matching technology, which can be fully disabled if you prefer to showcase your own heel-and-toe skills. A limited-slip differential is also standard, housed in a brand-new casing developed specifically for the F22.
This design ensures that, even under intense track use, the differential requires no additional cooling system, resulting in reduced weight. The new housing is stronger too, and helps minimize drivetrain noise in the cabin.
Inside, the leather-trimmed cabin features bespoke, lightweight Recaro seats crafted from carbon fiber. A first for the road, the six-point harnesses are fully approved for both street and track use.
The Twin Targa roof consists of two carbon-fiber panels flanking a removable central T-Bar made from Ex-Core carbon fiber. The roof panels can be detached via three manual latches, while the central section releases at the touch of a button, just like the forward-hinged hood. Once removed, the panels store neatly in a matching bag in the luggage compartment.
Donkervoort has announced it will build only 100 examples of the F22. If its striking presence alone didn’t make it exclusive enough, the low production numbers certainly do. Enthusiasts took notice: the entire production run was sold out even before the model’s official launch. With many examples heading to the United States and the Middle East, the F22 has become an even rarer sight in Europe.
