Powered by the 5, 343cc V12, coupled to an automatic gearbox, with independent suspension all round and power-assisted disc brakes
This example is chassis #1 of the Series 2 Vanden Plas Double-Six, pre-dating Sir William Lyons’ own car, chassis #2 (VGY 215M), now held at the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust
Originally dispatched on 28/ 11/ 1973 to Federated Motors, Singapore, with suggestions of use as a diplomatic or ambassadorial vehicle before later being exported to Australia, and now requiring a full restoration
Accompanied by its Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace Certificate confirming chassis, engine, gearbox and colour details, together with UK V5C registration WWE 568L
An important opportunity to acquire the very first example of the Series 2 Daimler Double-Six Vanden Plas Long Wheelbase, offered without reserve and requiring full restoration

The Winchester Collection
A number of Jaguars and Daimlers with interesting provenance, including 2 Chassis #1 Daimler Double Six Vanden Plas Saloons,  Series 1 and Series 2, two experimental cars, including an XJ Series 1 and potentially the earliest surviving XJ-S as well as a pair of Donor Cars all offered without reserve. Inspection of these cars is invited, they have formed part of a stalled collection, and as such are offered as is, in need of full restoration but in many cases will prove difficult to resist given their interesting histories.
