EXTERIOR
Something of a rarity for 964’s the limited-edition ‘30 Jahre’ – otherwise known as the Jubilee or ‘Jubi’ – was produced in 1993 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iconic 911. This sought-after model featured an exclusive factory option specification that was based on the 964 Carrera 4, under the internal code ‘M096’, which combined a ‘Turbo’ wide body with the four-wheel-drive Carrera running gear.
This example is finished in the ever popular Polar Silver (A8A8); a hue that suits the sleek and elegant proportions of the 964 beautifully. The sparkling paint has a subtle blue content, almost as if it reflects the sky, and presents with a deep and consistent shine across the bodywork.
Recently replaced rubbers and plastics show soft and supple, complimenting the bright bodywork.
INTERIOR
Presenting with a classic Black Leather interior the cabin space has aged very well with it’s contents wholly original. The silver gear knob shows light patina whilst subtle highlights such as the deep grey dials and Jahre plaque, that reads the right way in the rear view mirror, leave no doubting this is a special place to be. The dash is free from unsightly scratches or marks with the Blaupunkt stereo still remaining; it is clear that this 964 has been cared for by it previous owners.
Rear seats present in superb condition and when not occupied can provide extra luggage space with the back rests folded down The carpet set retains a deep pile texture and feel, with genuine over mats in the front offering further protection.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This Jahre fires into life with that familiar flat 6 bark and settles to a smooth idle immediately. Recent work includes servicing and flow checking the injectors, new clutch and fuel / oil lines replaced as required alongside a top end rebuild approximately 500 miles ago.
With slick, intuitive operation of the drivetrain the car feels tight and assured on test, with both switchable rear wing and all wheel drive operating quickly and smoothly upon request.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
These crested 17 inch Cup 1 wheels are in outstanding condition, free of cosmetic wear or corrosion. Pirelli P Zero rubber adorns all four corners with plenty of tread depth all round.
The Black Porsche brakes, just visible through the thick 5 spoke wheels, show plenty of life front and back.
HISTORY FILE
First delivered by AFN Chiswick in September of 1993, as confirmed by the Certificate of Authenticity, this Jubilee has been very well looked after over the years.
With 16 entries in the original service book the majority of the car’s mileage was covered up to 2014 when the car was placed in storage. There are various invoices covering significant expenditure over the years including overhauls to the braking, suspension and engine – a top end rebuild carried out by Northway Porsche.
A whole lot of work has been invested recently to ensure both aesthetics and mechanicals are spot on with suspension, braking and AC systems checked and / or overhauled by Northway.
The owner’s booklet is complete with spare key and radio card in amongst the history file.
It is thought that less than 900 Jubi’s were produced (as opposed to the original 911) and with a significant portion built for the European market it’s very rare to see a UK RHD version.
